Plums
An expanding selection of Plum trees are offered for sale from dessert to culinary varieties. Plums ripen from July until September with most varieties ripening during August. There are Plum trees to buy to suit everyone. Choose from well known varieties such as Victoria to the less well known but just as desirable varieties. The different trees for sale are detailed below.
All Plums are available as bare root ‘maidens’ on moderate vigour St Julien A rootstock which will make a tree, where the fruit is pickable from ground level, and some Gloucestershire plums on vigorous Brompton rootstock.
Plums ripen from mid July into September. You may wish to choose a selection of trees and spread the picking time. These details are provided for each variety. You can see a summary on the ‘Picking & Storage’ advice page.

Plum trees are dispatched between early December and late March when dormant.
We are busy growing a fresh batch of trees for supply winter 2026-27. We will make them available to advance order from early August well ahead of availability from early December when dormant.

Blaisdon Red
St Julien A maiden (moderate): Out of stock £13.00A heavy fruiting culinary plum of good quality. Skin purple-red with a bloom. Sweet yet sharp flavoured golden coloured flesh.

St Julien A maiden (moderate): Out of stock £13.00Produces round medium sized blue plums with a light blue bloom. Yellow flesh juicy of good flavour. A cross between a Gage and a plum.

Denbigh
St Julien A maiden (moderate): Out of stock £13.00A dual purpose plum. Ripe by late August the plum is dark red with many small yellow dots and a blueish bloom. The golden yellow flesh is sweet & juicy.

St Julien A maiden (moderate): Out of stock £13.00A sport of Victoria that ripens later. It has the same qualities as Victoria – an excellent dual purpose variety, large plums good to eat fresh or cook.
