Cherries – we grow a range of cherry trees to buy suited to growing in the British climate and grown on our fruit tree nursery. All are dessert cherries ripening up from dark red to black.
Mostly grown on semi dwarf Gisela 5 rootstock, these appealing Cherries for sale are ideal for the garden and orchard. Trees are available as barerooted one year ‘maiden’ trees. Plant in a sheltered sunny situation into a fertile soil.
We have introduced a few older varieties on vigorous wild Cherry suitable for growing into standard trees as grown in the past.
We have sold out of cherries now. Spring frosts and poor growth meant we only had a small quantity of saleable trees.

Cherry trees are dispatched between late November and late March when dormant.
We will acknowledge then be in touch with an ‘Order Confirmation’ when taking payment. With already accumulated orders we will be in contact early in the New Year to arrange delivery or collection.
Black Oliver

A long established dessert cherry that arose in the West Midlands, areas of which became well known for their cherry growing. Produces medium sized cherries that ripen up to become black by early August. Dark red flesh sweet and juicy. Just grown on more vigorous Prunus F12.1 rootstock.
Kordia

A high yielding sweet cherry that ripens to dark red with red flesh by late July. Heart shaped fruits of excellent flavour. Introduced from the Czech Republic. It is self sterile but can be pollinated by self fertile varieties & Regina.

A large sweet heart shaped white cherry with a red flush. Ripens early July. Not self fertile but can be pollinated by self fertile varieties Stella & Sunburst. A universal pollinator so will pollinate other cherries flowering at the same time. A British bred variety being introduced in 1931. The Photo was taken late June.
