Cherries – we grow a range of cherry trees to buy suited to growing in the British climate and grown on our fruit tree nursery. All are dessert cherries ripening up from dark red to black.
Mostly grown on semi dwarf Gisela 5 rootstock, these appealing Cherries for sale are ideal for the garden and orchard. Trees are available as barerooted two year trees. Plant in a sheltered sunny situation into a fertile soil.
Even at this early stage most cherries have been reserved. We have small quantities of the below varieties.
A word of warning! In recent years we have had difficulties growing cherries. Promising new growth has been ‘burnt off’ by late spring frosts. Similarly some customers have experienced the same. We advise protection of this tender new growth if spring frosts are imminent on young newly planted trees.
Discount information – the following discounts apply on total order value, excluding carriage – 5% on 5+ trees, 10% on 10+ trees. Carriage based on quantity – see ‘Delivery information‘ page for more details.
Cherry trees are dispatched between late November and late March when dormant.
We have now brought sales to an end for winter 2021-22 with dormancy coming to an end. We are now looking forward to growing a fresh crop for winter 2022-23 which we will make available to reserve from July well ahead of supply from late November.
