The Redcurrant is usually grown as a bush but can also be grown taller as a cordon or fan trained against a fence or wall. Grow on a short leg, planting at the same height as they were on the nursery about 1.5m (5′) apart.
Grow Redcurrant in a sunny position in a fertile, well drained soil. Tolerant of partial shade, but fruits will ripen a little later and may not be as flavoursome as bushes growing in full sun. We do not grow Redcurrants ourselves, but are offering non organic bushes.
