Crab Apples
Often grown as ornamental trees, crab apple trees produce masses of attractive fruits. Crab apples are ideal for the garden situation where they can be a feature on their own or alongside other fruiting trees. Apart from being very good pollinators of all apples the fruits can be used to make crab apple jelly.
The appealing Crab apple trees we have for sale are grown in our nursery on a moderate vigour rootstock. Crab apple and are available barerooted as one year ‘maiden’ trees. They vary in size according to the variety. The average height will be 1.2- 1.5m (4-5′ tall). Ideal for training into bush trees.

Crab Apple trees are dispatched between early December and late March when dormant.
We are busy growing a fresh batch of trees for supply winter 2026-27. We will make them available to advance order from early August well ahead of availability from early December when dormant.
