The white flesh when ripe is juicy, sweet but with a lemony tang.

Beneath the light green skin, which turns more yellowish green, the slightly yellowish flesh is sweet, quite juicy and of very pleasant flavour. Arose in Belguim, first fruited in 1847.

Juicy with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity when at its best. Apples of medium size, round with flatness at base & apex with obvious broad ribbing.
