Pre-trained as a single-tier espalier, this tree is ideal for growing against a wall or fence. When mature, it takes up less area than a normal bush tree. See the Espaliers product category for details. Collection only, as it’s containerised and too bulky to deliver. To order please contact us directly. Unlike most of our trees, we can supply espaliers all year round if we have them in stock.
A very attractive distinctive pear flushed deep red over much of the fruit. A reliably cropping pear of high quality with a citrus like taste to its juicy and melting flesh. Medium sized smooth skinned fruits. Heavy cropping and often need thinning. A very old variety dating back to 1780.

A quality pear that appreciates a warm sheltered site. The round conical pears turn from green to yellow as they ripen with patchs of light brown russet over a lot of the fruit. The flesh at its best is creamy yellow, melting and of excellent flavour.

A dessert pear that arose in Belguim around 1759 but grown in the UK particularly in Victorian times. Its name means ‘delicious morsel’. The variety has spread throughout the world including the southern hemisphere being valued for its quality and long ripening period into the following year. It is a very good garden pear that requires a sheltered situation particularly if grown away from southern England.
