A dual purpose plum. Ripe by late August the plum is dark red with many small yellow dots and a blueish bloom. The golden yellow flesh is sweet & juicy.

Grove’s Late Victoria
A sport of Victoria that ripens later. It has the same qualities as Victoria – an excellent dual purpose variety, large plums good to eat fresh or cook.

Herman
A very early reliable dual purpose plum that can ripen from early July. The roundish plums ripen to a blue/black colour with thick blue bloom.

A large, long, oval shaped purple plum with greenish yellow flesh of good quality. A reliable cropper suitable as a dessert or as a culinary plum.

Marjorie’s Seedling
One of the latest cropping plums with large deep purple fruits with a blue bloom. A dual purpose plum with greenish yellow flesh that is quite sweet.

A number of ‘sports’ have arisen from Victoria. Mann’s No 1 is one of them fruiting a little earlier than the original.

Rowles Pruin
A dual purpose variety. Round fruits with a blue skin with a bloom and green yellow flesh that is sweet but with a damson sharpness.

Swan produces quite round dark red skinned plums with a purple bloom. The flesh is juicy and sweet good for eating aswell as cooking.

Sweet Damson
Different to other damsons ripening earlier and being sweet. elliptical in shape, the dark purple skin has sweet greenish yellow flesh beneath.

Victoria
The most well-known plum. Deservedly popular and the main commercial plum in the UK. Very nice to eat when ripe and cooks & preserves well.

Winterbourne Magnum
A dual purpose variety. Medium sized plums, oval in shape, with purple to dark red skin with a light bloom and sweet yellow flesh.

Mirabelle de Nancy
Related to the Damson, arising in the middle east arriving in France in the middle ages. Small round yellow fruits up to 3cm diameter ripen early August. Its yellow flesh is sweet and richly flavoured. Partially self fertile. Not often cultivated in the UK, flowering early it benefits from shelter and a warm spring.

Mirabelle Gypsy
Gypsy is a result of a breeding programme in Ukraine to create improved varieties from naturalized Cherry Plum with its small fruits. Introduced in 1995 it produces larger round bright red fruits with sweet orange flesh. Ripens late August and considered partially self fertile.
