Ben Sarek is an excellent early variety with compact growth habit making it very sutable for growing in smaller gardens. Crops heavily with large black berries that are of very good flavour around mid July.Fruiting is on short strigs making picking easier. Cropping can be so heavy that branches are drawn down, so support if necessary.
Ben Sarek will grow to about 1.2m / 4′ tall. Plant about 1.5m/5′ apart into a well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant a little lower than on the nursery and reduce to 2 or 3 buds above the soil level after planting. Self fertile. Non organic plants.
