Different to other damsons ripening earlier and being sweet. elliptical in shape, the dark purple skin has sweet greenish yellow flesh beneath.
Picking time: late August / early September
The most well-known plum. Deservedly popular and the main commercial plum in the UK. Very nice to eat when ripe and cooks & preserves well.

It’s name is apt – in time having a drooping habit. Large yellow fruits speckled red with sweet yellow juicy flesh.

The original Pershore plum! For culinary use. Was grown much in the Vale of Evesham. Large yellow fruits. Self-fertile. Hardy, reliable, heavy cropping.
