A very late dessert apple that is picked after a long Autumn in November. Sturmer Pippin is the latest ripening apple that we grow. At its best between January and April.
Round conical in shape, sometimes lop sided and having fairly distinct ribbing. The medium sized apples are greenish yellow flushed orangey brown at picking. Crisp, juicy and flavoursome to eat. Sweet with a balance of sharpness. (1827, Suffolk)
