A well known cider variety. A bittersweet. Regular cropping, producing a high quality cider. Flattened conical in shape medium size, Dabinett is a typical ‘jersey’ type apple with up to three quarters red flushed. Flesh greenish or white sweet & astringent.
Dabinett flowers mid late season. It will not pollinate Chisel Jersey which it may well have arose from as a seedling. Much grown in commercial orchards because of its reliable cropping and the quality of its cider.
