Blakeney Red
Pears quite large for a Perry pear. Yellow skin flushed red. Makes a good quality perry. Grows into a large tree, even very large in favorable conditions.
Harvest – late Sept / early Oct.

Grow to be a large tree of spreading, even drooping habit. One of the later picked varieties in early November. Produces a good quality fruity perry.

A deservedly widely grown Perry pear because of the high quality of its perry. Yellow green pears with russet at either ends or just around the eye.

Thurston’s Red
Also known as Dymock Red. The pears are pyriform or turbinate in shape becoming yellowish skinned with a red flush.
