Espalier – Egremont Russet
£45.00
Pre-trained as a single-tier espalier, this tree is ideal for growing against a wall or fence. When mature, it takes up less area than a normal bush tree. See the Espaliers product category for details. Collection only, as it’s containerised and too bulky to deliver. Unlike most of our trees, we can supply espaliers all year round if we have them in stock.
Deservedly popular russet. Dry golden skin with large areas of brown russet. Often brownish red on the sunny side. Flat round in shape with flattened ends. Crisp flavour, nutty and sweet. A trouble-free variety.
Pollination group – B Picking time – late September Storage until – December

A quite different dessert variety from most with pale green skin sometimes with a slight orange flush. Fruits crunchy and sweet when eaten fresh. Makes a roundish shape often with slight ribbing and distinct crowns at the apex. The pale skin makes the lenticels on the surface conspicuous.
