Malling Jewel is a well known summer fruiting Raspberry. A regular good cropper of large red berries of good flavour from mid July. Canes grow to 1.5-2.5m tall and then fruit on these canes the following year. The canes, on delivery or collection, will have been reduced to about 50cm and will provide fruit in the second summer after planting. A support structure is required when growing this and other summer fruiting varieties.
By growing a summer fruiting raspberry & and an autumn variety, such as Autumn Bliss or All Gold, raspberry cropping can last from July through to early Autumn.
Malling Jewel was bred at East Malling Research Station, a pioneering research development establishment in Kent where many plants have been developed for UK food industries since the second world war. Individual customers can benefit from years of research & development to grow and enjoy such quality fruit producing plants.
In bundles of 5. Non organic plants
