Another variety with Cox parentage being raised at Laxton’s Nursery, Bedford. Largely purple red skin over greenish-yellow base with some redder stripes. Often has a Cox like flavour – crisp, juicy & refreshing. Apples round conical in shape. Hardy and suitable for most areas. Rootstock: MM106 & M26

A quite different dessert variety from most with pale green skin sometimes with a slight orange flush. Fruits crunchy and sweet when eaten fresh. Makes a roundish shape often with slight ribbing and distinct crowns at the apex. The pale skin makes the lenticels on the surface conspicuous. Rootstock: MM106

Bred from Cox crossed with earlier ripening Duchess of Oldenburg. The result is an excellent Cox like apple with an excellent rich honeyed flavour. Flesh crisp, juicy & tinged yellow. Attractive medium sized apples with yellow skin flushed red. A very good early season variety.

A very well known variety. The medium-large apples are warmly coloured yellow striped with orange. Excellent flavour, sweet with an acid balance. If picked early when sharp they make very good culinary apples. Round conical in shape they will not keep for a long time. Hardy and a good pollinator. Rootstock: MM106 & M26.

A very old variety maybe even dating back to the Romans! Produces medium sized flattish apples with green yellow skin flushed orange red that will keep into the New Year. Rich pineapple-like acidity. A slower growing variety hence offered on more vigorous M25 rootstock. Later flowering.
