An excellent very hardy, yellow fruiting mid-season variety. Hinnonmaki Yellow has a spreading growth habit and is a heavy cropper of medium sized, greenish-yellow berries. The berries have an aromatic flavour that can have a hint of apricot. Bred in Finland for hardiness and disease resistance, being particularly resistant to powdery mildew. The fruit is sweet enough to be eaten straight from the bush and is delicious in desserts and preserves.
Eventual height: 1.2m (4′). Eventual spread: 1.5m (5′). Cropping: mid July. Self fertile. Plant around 1.5m (5′) apart.
