We will be able to offer apple, pear and plum rootstocks for sale for grafting in February & March or for planting out before grafting at a later stage.
Sold individually some of the apple rootstocks will have been grown on the nursery and will be harvested in January. Others will be bought in, some of it organic. For grafting the stems will be in the region of 8-11mm collar diameter.
Available from February for delivery or collection. If delivery required carriage will be calculated based on ‘complete’ trees. With rootstocks being smaller we will deliver most orders for £17. We will adjust before payment is taken. For very small orders we will try to fit in a postal tube and send through the Post Office for £12.
We obtain quite a lot of rootstocks from Holland. There will be a delay supplying this year because of Brexit. We are having to make arrangements that we never had to do before with previous seamless trade with the EU. A once simple process has now become complicated.
We will be in touch to arrange delivery as soon as we can during March. We are doing our best to progress things. Thank you for your understanding.
